Overview

Deep Rock is a small pinnacle close to Malapascua. The flat top lies at about 14 m and sheer walls drop to around 30 m, covered in soft corals and sea fans. Some dive shops call it Bogtong Bato.

Look for frogfish, nudibranchs, robust ghost pipefish and, in some seasons, pygmy seahorses and harlequin shrimp. Current can run over the pinnacle, and Nitrox is a sensible choice for the deeper profile.
