Malapascua Island dive sites
A sandy-bottom muck dive known for flamboyant cuttlefish and odd critters.
Bantigi is a muck dive with a maximum depth of about 12 to 15 m. Divers often compare it with the famous Lembeh Strait: the bottom is sandy and unremarkable at first glance, and the life is small, strange and brilliant.
It is known for flamboyant cuttlefish, especially on night dives, plus ghost pipefish, seahorses, dwarf lionfish and snowflake moray eels. Go slowly, ask your guide to point out mimic octopus and similar animals, and keep your fins off the bottom.
